Fortnite Update V8.10-Crossplay Matchmaking, New Vehicle, And Vending Machines
Fortnite's latest update, version8.10 is available on major platforms. The patch brings some changes to the way of gameplay, skins, weapons and Vending Machines; it adds the Getaway limited-time mode, and makes some improvements. The major changes include introducing crossplay matchmaking for different platforms and adding a hamster ball-like vehicle called Baller, as well as adjusting Vending Machines in Fortnite's Battle Royale mode.
In patch V8.10, Epic has introduced crossplay matchmaking for four platforms, two in a match. Players don't have any choice; they will have to opt-in to play, otherwise, they will be limited to Creative Mode and Playgrounds. "Motivating factor is unlocking optimization potential allowing us to run more playlists during more hours of the day while supporting more data center locations."
There are two groups-PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will be grouped into the same pool; while, the Nintendo Switch, which had previously been placed in the same group as the other consoles, is now going into the mobile pool. The reason they do this, according to Epis is "We expect an on-average better per-game experience for both Mobile and Switch players."
The new update also adds the vehicle "Baller" which looks like a hamster ball in appearance; the vehicle is single-seated. With the function of Grappler and Boost, it can move rapidly, even pulling players up cliffs or swing through the trees. Inside the Baller, players are protected from damage, but it is easily subject to enemy weapon fire with losing its 300 health. It can be found at Expedition Outposts and around pirate camp loot stashes. The Ballers can do damage to structures and enemies if you are moving quickly enough.
Vending Machines get an adjustment in this update-they dispense one item or weapon for free and will disappear afterward.
