Epic Will Add New Buried Treasure Item to Fortnite
New Season means new changes. Since Season 8 of Fortnite launched, Fortnite has seen a series of changes whether on the map or on weapons. Now the buried treasure item will update. The developer Epic Games has revealed that a new buried treasure item is coming to the game, which is pirate-themed.
"X Marks The Spot" the twitter of Fortnite Battle Royale Leaks wrote, "Scour the island for hidden loot with the new Buried Treasure item!"
The new buried treasure item may work just like any treasure map did before which gives a guide to those treasure seekers.
It seems that the new item is related to seeking and digging some kind of treasure, or some rare, powerful weapons hidden somewhere, which sounds mysterious.
Currently, there is no more information provided about the new items except for its sound and one of its locations; Fortnite leaker FortTory leaked the sound files of the new buried treasure item; and one potential location in the northeast corner of the Season 8 map with a stone 'X'.
This may be an item which will bring effects to the game, depending on how it works and what kind of "buried treasure" the map reveals. Until the item is released, what effect it has on the game will be revealed. There's been no official word on the update from Epic.
