Fortnite Season 5: Week 3 Challenges Guide

Fortnite Week 3 Challenges guide contains a list of all the challenges in Week 3, with tips, tricks and strategy advice for completing each one and earning your Battle Star rewards.

Deal damage to opponents as the passenger of an ATK or Shopping Cart

There's only one way for it, and that's to get some friends together and find yourself an ATK or Shopping Cart. Lazy Links and Paradise Palms are home to a few of ATKs, while Shopping Carts are a more common occurrence scattered all over the map.

The easiest way to get this done is to have a mate drive you around while you're in the passenger seat. Whip out an automatic weapon for maximum sprayability and get involved in some fights!

Search chests in Fatal Fields

To get this challenge out of the way quickly it's best to land at Fatal Fields as much as possible from the get-go. As soon as you've touched ground, begin hunting for those glowing chests before anyone else gets to them.

Don't worry about getting eliminated, so long as you've cracked open a chest or two your progress will carry over into each match. Keep at it and you'll get this done and dusted in no time.

Eliminate opponents in Haunted Hills

There's nothing for it but to treat this like the challenge above. Head into Haunted Hills from as soon as you've got a chance to leap from the Battle Bus and don't stop until you've racked up all the eliminations you need. It's a case of loot quickly, shoot first!

Shoot a Clay Pigeon at different locations

Fortnite's 1st Birthday Celebration has introduced a number of little minigames across the map, and one of them happens to be clay pigeon shooting!

In order to complete this challenge you'll need shoot a clay pigeon at 4 different locations on Fortnite's map. To do this, simply interact with the machine, wait for it to shoot a clay into the air and blast it out of the sky. Make it even easier by having a mate operate the machine, and for further authenticity, scream “PULL” everytime you want them to fire a clay into the air.

We've put together a guide that shows you where to find All the Clay Pigeon locations, so open this page up while you're on the hunt for them.

Use a Launchpad

The challenge here is to find a Launchpad in the first place. It's a purple Fortnite items that looks a little like a trampoline if you've never encountered one before, and it goes straight into your “Trap” slot.

The only way to find one a bit quicker is to get on the offensive and eliminate players frequently. Otherwise it's a case of being lucky enough to stumble into one out in the wild.

To use one, simply place a platform on the ground, switch to your trap slot, cycle through until you've got the Launchpad, and build it on top of the platform. Hop onto it and you'll be sent rocketing into the sky - challenge ticked off!

Follow the treasure map found in Flush Factory

This is a classic case of finding a hidden Battle Star stash somewhere on Fortnite's map.

Thankfully FortniteLeaks has done the hard work for us this week and has located the most likely location for Week 3's Battle Stars.

As you can see, the treasure map found in Flush Factory actually leads you to a path on a hill over to the West of Fatal Fields.

Explosive Weapon Eliminations

To get this final challenge completed, it's best to horde explosive grenades and equip a grenade or rocket launcher if you manage to find one.

Once you've got a number of explosive weapons to hand, make the most of them when you're in firefights. Chuck grenades into forts, blast opponents at close range with rocket launchers, pepper buildings with a grenade launcher.
